Basketball Camp
A hands-on camp for boys and girls of all ages. Players will build skills, sharpen fundamentals, and develop leadership — helping them grow both on and off the court.

R&B Night Experience
An unforgettable night of music, good vibes, and community celebration — open to the public. Come enjoy a night of connection and fun.

Community Project + Brunch
We’ll close out the weekend by giving back. Join us for a local service project followed by a community brunch to celebrate the impact we’ve made together.
Join us for a weekend of community, connection, and giving back — all while supporting a great cause. WAKD Weekend brings together basketball lovers, leaders, families, and changemakers for 3 days of fun and impact.
Proceeds from the weekend will support our year-round youth initiatives, with this year’s primary focus on providing 100+ backpacks filled with school supplies to local students through our Back-to-School Giveaway in Campti, LA.

About Our Brand
Mission Statement:
WAKD Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit empowering youth and communities through mentorship, sports, education, and outreach. We build leaders, inspire purpose, and create impact through camps, events, service, and our future WAKD Academy.
Our Story:
Founded by Harlem Globetrotter and Campti native Travion Kirkendoll, WAKD was created to give back, inspire purpose, and develop future leaders in underserved communities.
Programs & Events
WAKD Basketball Camps
Skill-building, confidence, and mentorship for 4th–12th graders.
Legacy Mentorship (Coming Soon)
1-on-1 and group mentorship to guide youth through purpose and personal growth.
Community Givebacks
Annual toy drives, turkey giveaways, and school supply distributions.
WAKD Scholarship
Annual $500+ award supporting local high school seniors who show leadership, character, and a drive to grow beyond the classroom.
WAKD Weekend (Every July)
A powerful 3-day experience of camp, networking, music, and service.
WAKD Talks
Small group conversations or panels focused on mental health, peer pressure, identity, college choices, and finding purpose.

Our annual Thanksgiving outreach event — providing 100 frozen turkeys to families in need. A small act with big impact.

WAKD Toy Drive & Christmas Hoops Game
A holiday event where giving meets community competition. Join us as local heroes hit the court and we collect toys to make Christmas easier for families in need.
